Description
The valley lies at an altitude of 3250 meters above sea level. This valley is the main zone of Nanda Devi Biosphere reserve. This is known to be a place where as per the mythology Lord Hanuman collected the Sanjeevani herb to treat Lakshman. You will be able to enjoy the chirping sound of birds and the sound of stream during the trek. The beauty encapsulating this place has been luring the nature loves for years in a row now.
To reach the valley, one needs to trek from Govind Ghat, on the course to Hemkund Sahib, up to Ghangaria, 12 kms ahead. The valley is around 5 kms from Ghangaria. The serine lake known as Hemkund lies in great environs. There is a Sikh Gurudwara and a Lakshman temple based on the bank of the lake. Encompassed by seven snow clad pinnacles and their related icy masses, it mirrors its surroundings enchantingly on its completely clear peaceful waters.
